Rolling Over

Eli rolled over last night!!!! I was so excited. He had been close for so long and I knew it was just a matter of days. I set him on his tummy every evening to build up those muscles (he hates being on stomach). Jared was in the kitchen cleaning up from dinner and I really didn't think Eli would do it, but low and behold he did!! I just hollered for Jared and clapped and praised Eli. I think that may have scared him and he wouldn't do it again for daddy and the camera. Soon, though, he will be rolling all over the floor. Watch out Wooody!! I just love that little boy.

Travels

For Thanksgiving, Jared went to Missouri to attend the wedding of our good friend Kevin. Eli and I flew to Texas to surprise my mom. Eli did so good on the plane. Only fussed when the captain came on and didn't stop talking. Not sure what was up with that guy, but Eli didn't like him. Grandma, Aunt Chris, and cousins Michael and Ashely had a great time spending time with Eli. I don't think I fed or changed Eli once while they were there. Ashley did it all! She is great with kids! Eli also got to meet his cousin Meagan who was kind enough to feed him so I could feed my face!

It had been over two years since I was in Texas. Of course a lot of things have changed. Well, the temperature sure didn't! It was hot and yucky. That I don't miss one bit. It is snowing here today and that is what I love to see. Overall it was a great trip. I just wish things would have gone a little smoother for my step dad.

24 days until Christmas and Jared and I have yet to purchase one Christmas gift. Does that make us slackers? We haven't even done our Christmas card! We usually have that done in November. Well, we at least we have the pictures done (except Woody's since he wasn't allowed to come the studio with us). The goal for this weekend is to get the Christmas card done, put up the tree and other decorations, get some presents bought, and relax.
