Thanksgiving is Thursday and Christmas will be here before you know it.  But before all that fun begins, I got a temporary promotion at work.  YAY!!!  My supervisor went on detail to D.C., so he put me in charge.  I am super excited about this opportunity and his faith in me to be able to do the job.
Now on to the holidays.  My dad is with us for Thanksgiving.  I know that Eli is enjoying his time with his Pop-pop.  I remember all the holidays spent with my grandparents.  I loved every minute of it.  Not so much the day long car ride it took to get there and back, but spending time with them.  This is the first year of being grandparentless.  I cherished each one of my grandparents and will reflect on all the fond memories I have of them and the time spent with them.
Time to break out the tree and decorations.  Christmas is coming way to fast this year.  We don't have our family portrait yet!  YIKES!!  We are a picture-taking family so this feels so weird that we haven't had pictures taken since July.  Strange, but true.  We will be spending the week before Christmas with family in Georgia.  Hope to see as many family members as possible.
We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Love,
The Hinsons
